Recently I was contacted by Opera Lafayette's Ryan Brown to be a part of one of their productions this year! I am excited to join in the modern premiere of Philidor’s Le Maréchal ferrant (The Blacksmith) (1761), bridging city and country and celebrating rural themes and audience participation. The company will rehearse and present the debut performance in the Mancos Opera House in southwestern Colorado before bringing the performances to Washington DC and New York. See more information on their website www.operalafayette.org
Wirewood Station combines acoustic sensibilities and finesse with the power and energy of a sold-out rock show. It's been a pleasant surprise to partner with Michelle, Sam, and James (and sometimes Mark and Brian!). I'm looking forward to all the music we're going to make!
Over the last 2 years, I've gotten to know Jeff Bamburg, luthier extraordinaire and founder of the Rocky Mountain Guitar Company. We've collaborated on videos, workshops and concerts in Salida, CO. If you are ever in the area, I would recommend dropping-in at his shop and saying hello. He is a wonderful man and a KILLER guitar builder! Check it all out on his website - www.RockyMtnGuitar.com
I also get the privilege of being one of the guitarists for THE premier, high-end guitar shop in the Pikes Peak Region, Avenue Guitars. They've been in the Springs and family owned and operated for over 40 years. John and Sean will take good care of you! Check them out here www.AvenueGuitars.com
